Hair Care Tips

TIP #1: Do you need relief from dry, dull hair?
Use Luster’s® Pink® Glosser to revive dull looking hair and protect your hair against the heat damage of flat and curling irons.
TIP #2: How can I put moisture back into my hair?
Luster’s® Pink® Oil Moisturizer Lotion in light or regular formula is your solution to hair void of moisture. The use of Pink® Oil Moisturizer Lotion will help protect against breakage and split ends. Apply a small amount nightly while wrapping your hair for added moisture and shine.
TIP #3: How often should I trim my ends?
Split ends are a sign of dryness and hair damage and are prevented with regular monthly trims and extra care when using heat styling tools. Always have your ends trimmed about a half inch (1/2”) when you relax your hair. Split ends can result in continuous splitting and damage to the remainder of your hair shaft. Hair should be trimmed at least every six (6) to eight (8) weeks.
The combination of Luster’s® Pink® Oil Moisturizer Hair Lotion and Luster’s® Hot Oil Treatment will protect against breakage and split ends. The Pink® Lotion and Hot Oil Treatment will put moisture back in the hair and scalp while repairing split ends.
TIP #4: How can I ensure that I don’t damage my hair when using chemicals?
For maximum results, always follow the manufacturer’s directions listed on the product.
TIP #5: How can I keep my hair from being damaged when swimming?
For extra protection from the chlorine in swimming pools, apply a small amount of Pink® RevitaLEX™ Conditioner on hair and hairline under your bathing cap. And always remember to rinse your hair immediately after coming out of the pool.
TIP #6: How can I keep my hair from breaking around the hairline?
Never wear hats and scarves too tight around the hairline. Many fabrics such as wool and cotton can rob the hair of moisture and cause breakage.
TIP #7: Wearing hats seem to damage my hair. How can I keep this from happening?
Always wear a silk scarf under wool hats and over the collar of a wool coat to protect hair from direct contact with wool.
TIP #8: What’s the best way to protect my hair at night?
Sleeping on a satin pillowcase will protect the hair from drying and breaking.
